Writer, Mentor, and Editor

Hi, I’m Susannah. I’m an English writer based in Mexico. Mexico has been my beloved home for almost fifteen years. I’ve lived in Oaxaca, Mexico City, on the coast in Nayarít and I currently reside in the magical, mountain town of Tepoztlán. Each of these places has been so rich with stories to tell.

After over a decade as a travel writer published by BBC Travel, Condé Nast Traveler, CNN, The Independent UK and Afar among others, I now dedicate most of my time to writing fiction and working as a writing mentor. I am an Associate Editor at Wallstrait Literary Journal and my stories have been published by Inkfish Magazine, South 85 Journal and The Westchester Review.

In addition to my writing mentorship, I offer developmental editing for fiction and creative non-fiction writers.

I have a fortnightly newsletter, Write As You Are, where I share my reflections on writing and the writing life.
