Writer, Mentor, and Editor

Hi, I’m Susannah. I’m an English writer currently based in London. Mexico was my beloved home for fifteen years. I lived in Oaxaca, Mexico City, Nayarít and Tepoztlán. Each of these places was so rich with stories to tell. Now, called back by the land, I am exploring the stories of my birthplace.

After over a decade as a travel writer published by BBC Travel, Condé Nast Traveler, CNN, The Independent UK and Afar among others, I now delight in offering writing mentorship and writing fiction. I am Assistant Fiction Editor at Wallstrait Literary Journal and my stories have been published by Does it Have Pockets?, South 85 Journal and The Westchester Review, among others.

In addition to my writing mentorship, I offer developmental editing for fiction and creative non-fiction writers.

I also have a fortnightly newsletter, Write As You Are, where I share my reflections on writing and the writing life.
